11.10.2024 Month of the Lambic 2024 at Lindemans Brewery
You can’t see them, you can’t smell them, but we certainly can’t brew without them: the wild yeasts that float through the Pajottenland and Zenne Valley at night. And since they play such an important role in our lambic brewing process, Toerisme Vlaams-Brabant has organized the third edition of the Month of the Lambic to celebrate them! From the end of October until the end of November, discover lambic country through various activities hosted by local businesses. At Lindemans Brewery, we have several events planned!
This is the perfect opportunity, as the brewing season will have just started! Visits are available at the following times:
- Sunday, October 27 at 4 p.m.
- Saturday, November 16: 2 p.m., 4 p.m.
- Sunday, November 17: 10 a.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m.
Guided tours are available in Dutch, French, or English with a maximum of 25 people per tour, scheduled at least 3 days in advance. A professional guide will take you through the history of the brewery and reveal the secrets of the mysterious lambic brewing process. The tour lasts about an hour, followed by a delightful half-hour beer tasting. As a bonus, you’ll get a special surprise to take home. The price per person for a visit is €15.
Make sure to book your spot in time, as places are limited! https://www.lindemans.be/en/brewery/appointment
Combine your visit with one of the beautiful walking or cycling tours in the area and stay in one of the cozy accommodations nearby. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to explore the world of lambic!

“As one thing you simply must do in the Pajottenland and Zenne Valley is taste an Oude Geuze,” says Gunther Coppens, Deputy for Tourism. “The number of lambic producers in our region is significantly growing. In the 1980s, you could count them on one hand. Today, there are about 30. We’re also seeing a real rise in ‘stekerijen’ (blenders).”
Photo Contest
Don’t forget to enter the Photo Contest with the hashtag #maandvandelambiek2024 for your chance to win a culinary cycling tour through Lambic country!
During the Month of the Lambic, Toerisme Vlaams-Brabant wants everyone to experience the joy of sharing a delicious geuze with friends or family in an authentic pub. That’s why they are organizing a photo contest where participants can win a culinary cycling tour for four people with "Happen en Trappen." The winners will cycle through the region, stopping at three different hospitality venues along the way, where they will be treated to delicious treats and surprises.
To enter the contest for the ‘Discovering Lambicland’ culinary cycling tour, you must take a photo of your glass or bottle of geuze/lambic during the Month of the Lambic and share it on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #maandvandelambiek2024. Good luck!
